the tea

March 4, 2019 by Tori 11 Comments

If you’ve followed my social media channels for a while now, a few things you can gather about me…

  1. I’m an open book
  2. I’ve kept my dating life private (well, somewhat)

And if you still follow me, then you know the second thing has been completely zapped off this list. I thought what better way (for the 10thtime) to reintroduce myself, and this diary I started years ago by filling you guys in on the tea.

So, yeah…I’m in a relationship. Trust me, I want to give you the FULL details and I will. But for now, I’ll give you the cliff notes version.

The past year I was very focused on All the Wire and dating honestly wasn’t on my radar. Did I date? Yes of course, a girl’s gotta eat! Totally kidding (sort of) but yes, I did date but it was always pretty casual to me. Again, my focus was on my business and really pushing our brand into new directions that the little time I had, I was getting a tan.

So fast forward to December, literally days before the New Year I reconnected with someone that you guys now see very often on my social media. And all I can say is, when you know, you know.

When my friends over at Tony Lama shared with me a peek of their new collection, I thought what an introduction it would be (for the first time ever) to shoot with my boyfriend. If it’s one thing we have in common, it’s all thingscountry. So, I called one of my dear friends and AMAZING photographer, Paige Greener and asked if she’d shoot pictures of us. She was happy to help and without question, knew she’d share the story through her lens of what I was trying to say without saying a word.

Safe to say she nailed it.

We shot this image inside a Whiskey bar. I went with the Vernita Tan. This is your go-to boot when it comes to seeing your favorite country music artist during the summer or just grabbing margaritas with the girls. I wore this with a maxi and paired it with a denim jacket, completely my Texas girl look. This boot gives you a worn-in feel with great stitch and leather quality without breaking the bank. Josh is wearing a pair of Ronnie Ostrich from
Tony Lama’s 1911 Collection. Any exotic boot will be an investment piece if cowboy boots are not part of your everyday wardrobe. If you’re okay with it, great. You’ll definitely get “Girlfriend of the Year Award” if you surprise your guy with those bad boys.
What Paige says goes. Even if it’s 20 degrees outside. She said, “Okay, I want you to jump and Josh is going to lift you, kiss him, laugh with him, just do your thing.”
Mind you, we did this for about an hour. We had so much fun, I forgot how cold I was! My idea for this shot was to wear all black with these boots but I loved my maxi for both that I decided to ditch the denim jacket and make this more of a date night look.
I absolutely love this style boot. The Emilia Western boot gives me old Texas vibes, like the movie Urban Cowboy? Please tell me you’ve seen it. If so, Pam would have most definitely worn these.
